In Parkinson’s Therapy team, we focussed on how not “all biscuits are made equal” and even though they may all be L7, some may be easier or safer than others (or actually a cake hiding in the 🍪 aisle!) Lots of tasting and thinking about “dunking” in tea! ☕️ 🍪🧁 @ParkinsonsUK

Offering extra time for communication allows important space & processing time. Try not to overwhelm with multiple questions & lots of words. Less can be more. Be spacious & allow room for what emerges. #WithSLTuCan

Rushing to finish a meal & overfilling mouthfuls occur in some types of dementia. Offering a smaller portion and then ‘seconds’ may help or try smaller cutlery. Eat together to slow eating rate and keep the table uncluttered. #WithSLTuCan
