Please check out our new article, led by @_ankitghanghas in the ASCE Journal of Hydrologic Engineering, that addresses the current limitations of hydraulic design at confluences. This approach is more general and applicable for the entire contiguous US.

It is super exciting to see that the videos that I created for Purdue students have reached more than 1M views! It is very rewarding when I meet these learners. Recently I was very touched when a student came to my hotel in Lima, Peru, to thank me with a souvenir!

River morphology data play a critical role in what we do, but they are not as easily and widely available as other datasets. We are working on making these data more accessible by developing RIMORPHIS. Our first paper about its development now published!

Welcome to Fall 2024 CE 34000 Hydrulics in the Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering at Purdue! This is by far the largest class (>230) I have taught and I realize I only captured half of it in this selfie!
