@Tejasvi_Surya Who is responsible? Blr MPs trade charges against State Govt and the CM says fares are Fixed by Central Govt appointed committee. Both BJP & Cong will stage dharana for 3-6 hours disrupting road traffic. Funnier - meanwhile, commuters get adjusted to new fares. End of Story.

@Tejasvi_Surya @PCMohanMP @ShobhaBJP It's the Fare Fixation Committee appointed by Central Govt. Whether the Committee visited S'pore, HK or Timbaktur to arrive at recommonding fares is a subject of public domain discussion. What you 3 were doing when they proposed fares?
Fare Fixation Committee that came up with this unscientific proposal to raise metro prices, reportedly went on study tour to Singapore & Hong Kong at tax payer’s expense. They would have served Bengaluru better had they gone to Singasandra or Hongasandra instead and understood the socio economic status of people who use metro in Bengaluru.

@Tejasvi_Surya @PCMohanMP @ShobhaBJP Ok, it is state Govt asked for Metro fare revision and the committee set-up by CG recommended. Similarly, entire Karnataka has been asking for higher tax devolution, higher central grants for KA projects. Any progress on that MPs? Pls
After coming to power in 2023, the Congress government has increased prices across the board - be it in BMTC, electricity, property tax, excise & so on. Similarly, it was the State Government that advised the BMRCL to review metro fares and form a committee for fare fixation—initiating this entire process. The state representatives in the committee pushed for fare hikes, and now the revised fare report has been released. From the very beginning, BJP has opposed this steep increase in fares, as it is an unfair burden on the people of Bengaluru. If the state govt is genuinely concerned about this issue, nothing in the law prevents it from asking for a review of the recommendations of the fare fixation committee or even asking for an appointment of a new fare fixation committee to rationalise the rates. Bengaluru MPs will then ensure that the Central Government officials involved in this process take into consideration sensitivities of the people of Bengaluru. Let the CM act, not blame.

@jagatmindri ಆ ಪೆದ್ದರಿಗೆ ಬೇಸಿಕ್ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಇಲ್ಲ ಬಿಡಿ. ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ Fare Fixation Committee (FCC) ಅಂತ ಒಂದು ಬಾಡಿ ಇದೆ. ಅದು The Metro Railway (Operations and Maintenance) Act, 2002, ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು. ದರ ಪರಿಷ್ಕರಣೆ ಮಾಡೋದು ಅಥವಾ ಬಿಡೋದು ಅದರ ಕೆಲ್ಸ. ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರಿದು ಮೆಟ್ರೋ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರ ಕೆಲ್ಸ. ಅಷ್ಟೇ.
