"Even as a lad, Aegon smiled seldom and laughed less, says Mushroom, and though he could be graceful and courtly at need, there was a darkness within him that never went away."
missing him hours!!
the moment he stepped on storm's end and saw vhagar he should've turned around and go back, rhaenyra would've understood, but he wanted to prove himself to his queen 💔
waiting for the day ppl realize jace having a thing with cregan is not the same as if did with sara snow. jace is not dumb, bedding AND being wed to a random northerner woman would directly affect the blacks' image and humiliate baela, he would never risk such a thing
im praying to fucking god that the route their taking in the show with their relationship leads to alicent begging for mercy and forgiveness and nyra ignoring her ass. she has forgiven that woman too many times and there's no fucking way she will again after her sons die.
This is one of the moments from the book that i’m really excited to see in the show. Rhaenyra sitting on the iron throne while Alicent begs and bows to her. I truly hope the writers won’t destroy this scene and make it “emotional”
i wish we had more lucerys lines in the show. the only times he's openly expressing himself are to be self-conscious and self-degrading, but he obviously has a sharp side to him, like in this scene where he's staring at aemond in a mocking way, DARING him to react—
im sorry but viserys being a divorced dad at 17 and a grandfather at 31 is insane 😭 my man was ready to retire in his thirties, he sped ran all the major life events
lucerys surviving vhagar's attack and running back to his mother, traumatized and heartbroken over losing arrax. daemon takes it upon himself to teach luke proper sword skills to able to stand up for himself without a dragon, and pushes him to be sharper, bolder and quick witted.
everyone wants to talk about rhaenyra saying aemond had to be questioned, as if he was gonna get tortured or smth when we all know he was gonna get asked a few questions at best. alicent was a grown woman charging towards a little boy with a KNIFE and got no repercussions for it
u guys know that alicent was going to kill lucerys right? maybe not intentionally, but she would cause look at the way she’s holding the knife, she wouldn’t change the way she was holding before hitting lucerys, she was going to fast, and she would stab his eye, not cut, stab him
luke holding nyra's wounded arm, holding laenor's hand when he was mourning, fighting for jace when aemond was about to hit him, calling his mother perfect and corlys the greatest sailor who ever lived, like— lucerys loved his family so much :(
stupid men making decisions that led to indirectly killing their loved ones. being haunted by their ghosts for the rest of their lives until they can finally die and be reunited with them to beg for forgiveness
alpha aemond who trained himself to repress his rut and everything to do with it, because he'd rather die than to feel out of control, and a newly presented as omega luke who's pheromones and heat are excessive and almost uncontrollable.
traumatic childhood, traveling across the world, marrying, being hand of the king, being the king, having three kids, divorcing, marrying two of his kids with each other, getting poisoned.. like that's it. that's the targaryen life.
i still can't believe lucerys merely let out a giggle and aemond immediately started throwing a tantrum. like- you cannot convince me luke doesn't have him wrapped around his finger.
the reason why i'm team black mostly is that the blacks don't irritate me to high heavens. like sure, daemon and rhaenyra do horrible things, but otto and aegon are fucking annoying. that's the greater sin in my eyes. like everyone is terrible and evil but some are also LIKEABLE
the storm's end chase but lucerys actually falls off of arrax and just before he crashes against the ocean waves, arrax catches him. they both make it out of it alive but the memory of falling from the skies, having no way to save himself, haunts lucerys' nightmares
"Hearing the cries, Munkun writes, some wept whilst others cheered, but most of the smallfolk stared in silence, confused and wary, and now and again a voice cried out, “Long live our queen.”"i
baby lucemond is so important to me u guys don't understand. their childish innocence, understanding each other as the second sons, aemond telling luke he'll be a fine lord one day, luke telling aemond he can't wait for the day he gets a dragon so they can fly the skies together
saying "'tis I the younger brother who studies history and philosophy, it is I who trains with the sword, who rides the largest dragon in the world-" was very 'im not like other guys' of aemond ngl
aemond planning for ten years how he'd intimidate lucerys once they met again, flaunting his strength and skills, but then lucerys comes back and barely pays any attention to him and aemond can't BELIEVE that his nephew hasn't been thinking of him day and night like he did 😊🤭
viserys ii who can't remember the faces of his dead family members and aegon iii who's haunted by them day and night. aegon describing how everyone looked to viserys. their hairstyles, their eyes, their noses, the way they smiled. "you have mother's smile" he assures him.
never ever ever getting tired of "aemond gets angry and tries to intimidate lucerys with violence, but when lucerys snaps back just as violent instead of backing away, aemond immediately crumbles and falls in love", like its SO GOOD. EVERY TIME.
what the fuck are the writers on. seriously. why are they trying SO hard to make it seem like the greens are the blacks' victims and make us hate rhaenyra. nyra and daemon aren't saints but the war started and continued bc of the greens' arrogance and cruelty
"Rhaenyra and Daemon will take their revenge too far, and commit so many gruesome crimes in season 2, that the audience will turn on them"
Me and the audience watching them:
the way the show made luke and jace inexperienced, weak and soft just to make aegon and aemond seem stronger is criminal. they were younger than their uncles but were just as, if not more, skilled and brave
“I mean to give the smallfolk peace and food and justice. [...] You may call a halt to this feast tonight as well. Send the lords home to their own
keeps and give the food to the hungry. Full bellies and dancing bears
shall be my policy."
when i say i ship aemond with lucerys i'm talking about THIS aemond. sad, pathetic, little man that envies how good life treats luke, and how others are allowed to be close to him and touch him while he has to watch from afar bc of family disputes
after the family dinner ends in disaster, luke and aemond leave the room , but both are still very riled up and end up looking for each other through king's landing's desolate hallways.
"i might have lost an eye, but i gained a dragon" that was his way to balance it out, but later on aemond himself broke that "balance" again by killing luke. it wasn't about balance, it was about winning the one-sided war he had with luke
aegon and viserys thinking it's just so normal and brotherly of them to kiss bc they've secretly seen jace and luke do it, so when they casually kiss in front of rhaenyra they can't grasp why their mother is speechless
the significance of viserys' unhatched dragon egg is so beautiful to me. he never lost hope. while aegon stayed forever mourning, viserys stayed forever waiting
viserys: why do you look so sad about marrying your brother named aegon do you know how many i'd kill to be allowed to marry my brother named aegon
naerys, about to marry the worst man alive: yes father
