Upsc asks u to write 250 words, DU asks 2000 words for the same question. Former is a generalist exam, latter involves depth. If I wrote Harappan civilization was an egalitarian society, Upsc will be happy, DU will laugh. If i quoted scholars, DU will be happy, Upsc will shrug.
