Prof Wilson was on #Shetland last week and received two magnificent donations in #Aith for the Viking Genes Fund. £5000! from the Aith Charity Shop: Elizabeth Nicolson handing Jim the cheque. And @SharonDeyell rounded-up her "swapshop" total to a brilliant £3,500! Thank you!

Prof Jim Wilson said: “In both archipelagos it is incredible how clearly we can tell people apart using their DNA alone, in many cases right down to the level of the isle or parish. Within Shetland we can tell people apart from many different isles and districts using DNA alone.”
