@chamath There was a class at yale called the science of science fiction that fulfilled one of your mandatory stem credits. Regardless of your grades on assignments you could go to office hours and request trivial extra credit that bumped you up a letter.

For generations many Yalies have optimized their course load with “gut” classes that require zero effort for an A. Usually it’s for gpa maxxing or to offset a busier schedule in more serious stem/cs classes or extra curricular. College is still the highest cost product people pay to not use.
