If Israel can - Canada has everything needed to be - reliant on no one for Defence: US President Elect Trump wants to play politics - and constantly bringing up how he thinks about with holding Military support for Canada - leaves no choice. .@CanadianPM Canada, based on its northern Arctic borders, should join the European Union as soon as possible .@BobRae48 .@EU_Commission Canada has everything required to develop a nuclear weapons program if it ever decided to take that route. Few nations in the world can claim such a complete set of capabilities, which include: 1. Natural Resources •Uranium Reserves: Canada is one of the world’s top producers of uranium, supplying a critical raw material for nuclear weapons and reactors. This gives Canada a natural advantage in producing fissile material like weapons-grade uranium or plutonium without relying on imports. 2. Advanced Nuclear Technology •CANDU Reactors: Canada’s CANDU reactor technology is world-renowned for its ability to use natural uranium. These reactors can be modified to produce weapons-grade plutonium. •Nuclear Research Legacy: Canada has decades of experience in nuclear science, including contributing to the Manhattan Project. 3. Expertise •Canada’s scientific and engineering community is highly skilled, with experts in: •Nuclear physics and engineering. •Aerospace and missile technology (e.g., Avro Arrow legacy). •Cybersecurity and advanced computational simulations, which are critical for nuclear weapons testing without physical detonations. •Many Canadian scientists and engineers have worked on major global projects, and they could be incentivized to focus on a Canadian program. 4. Infrastructure •Existing Nuclear Facilities: Canada already has high-tech nuclear research centers like Chalk River Laboratories. •Secure Storage and Production Sites: Locations like abandoned mines in Sudbury or northern diamond mines offer secure, remote environments for production and storage. •Aerospace and Missile Development: Canada has the expertise and infrastructure to develop delivery systems, including missiles or aircraft, to deploy nuclear weapons. 5. Political Stability •Canada operates in a politically stable and secure environment, making it easier to mobilize resources, expertise, and infrastructure without the risks of internal disruptions. 6. Strategic Geopolitical Position •Arctic Sovereignty: Canada’s strategic Arctic location gives it unique leverage in global geopolitics. •Alliance Flexibility: While Canada has traditionally aligned with NATO and NORAD, its resources and capabilities mean it could act independently if required. Conclusion Canada is uniquely positioned as a non-nuclear nation that has all the pieces in place to become nuclear-capable. With its natural resources, advanced technology, and expertise, the path to nuclear weapons is straightforward if the political decision is ever made. Unlike many other nations, Canada could move from concept to reality in as little as 12–24 months if it chose to. #CanadaFirst
