3 years in University. 2,300 hours working for free for the NHS whilst training. £30,000+ in fees. Countless mental breakdowns and constant doubting if I’m in the right place. I’m not gonna lie, it has been a difficult journey for me, but I’m glad I didn’t give up. #Nursing

There should be mystery nurses in hospitals in England to expose bad workers and keep the standard of care high. This will greatly increase the chances of hardworking staff to be recognised and the lazy and unsafe ones to be replaced by people who actually care for patients.

Just attended my first lecture in my Masters, and quite frankly, what am I doing here? 😂

I survived 5 long days in one working week. Not sure how I did, but to spend 65 hours in hospital doing bedside nursing is exhausting 😥 The upside is I got to spend more time with the same set of patients which was nice.

Four months in into my new role as a UK registered nurse, I made good with my promise when I was a student to not gate keep my knowledge and skills from a student nurse and give them the opportunity to feel like they are there to learn and not just be utilise as an extra HCA.
