@TheBreakdownAB For the record, Rachel Notley does not appear at all in the Lawyer Directory for the Province of Alberta. Holding a law degree does not make one an "actual lawyer."

@TheBreakdownAB Methinks thou dost protest too much. The more ratcheting up the rhetoric, the less credible the claim.

@FreeAlbertaRob @nenshi "Premier Smith is obsessed with being the centre of attention, talking about what she’s doing but not actually doing the work." Nenshi's remark actually sums up his own record nicely.

Totally irresponsible. Jasper Park should be managed by Alberta.
#REPORT: The Trudeau Liberals cut Parks Canada's fire preparedness budget by 23% shortly before wildfires ripped through Jasper, Alberta and left 40% of residents homeless.

RCMP: 4,000 gangs dealing drugs in Canada! But Nenshi says fentanyl traffic is insignificant ...
From the horses mouth, for all those naïve enough to believe that fentanyl entering the US is not coming from Canada - The RCMP confirm that there are over 4,000 separate organized crime groups operating in Canada that are manufacturing & distributing huge amounts of fentanyl.

Smith negotiated a 10% hit. Trudeau got 25% and a month's grace. That's it. Smith excelled in the situation. Trudeau could hardly have handled it worse. Welcome to the new major source of government revenues. Trump will use tariffs to tax the world. Though the rates may fluctuate, the tariffs are here to stay. Tariffs will promote more local production, more local jobs, and less world pollution by shipping things over half the planet. Zeihan predicted this was going to happen over a decade ago, well before Trump. The good news is that income taxes are now being phased out in the US, starting with no tax on tips and overtime. May Canada wise up soon and follow suit. I also pray that China's karmic retaliation to the Opium Wars ends soon and that we are successful in stopping the fentanyl flooding through through the US via Canada that both Trudeau and Nenshi weirdly dismiss as trivial.

As of 2020, Costco's global beverage alcohol sales reached approximately $5 billion, with the U.S. market contributing a significant portion of this revenue. Wine accounted for 50% of these sales (about $2.5 billion), spirits comprised 30% (around $1.5 billion), and beer made up the remaining 20% (approximately $1 billion). By 2023, Costco's total alcohol sales had increased to approximately $7 billion annually, with wine continuing to represent nearly half of that revenue. While specific figures for Costco's U.S. liquor purchases are not publicly disclosed, these data points indicate that the company is a major purchaser of liquor in the U.S. market.

So Canadian alcohol tariffs hurt mainly blue states? Cool!
Which exporting states are most impacted by Canada's initial tariff retaliation of 25% on exports totaling $30 billion? Here is my initial estimate. #cdnecon

Every year, LCBO sells nearly $1 billion worth of American wine, beer, spirits and seltzers. Not anymore. Starting Tuesday, we’re removing American products from LCBO shelves. As the only wholesaler of alcohol in the province, LCBO will also remove American products from its catalogue so other Ontario-based restaurants and retailers can’t order or restock U.S. products. There’s never been a better time to choose an amazing Ontario-made or Canadian-made product. As always, please drink responsibly.

For those interested in facts, not this fictional claim by @bobrae48: From ChatGPT: "At no point did Trump threaten to annex Greenland by force." President Donald Trump did not threaten to annex Greenland but rather expressed interest in purchasing it from Denmark. In August 2019, reports emerged that Trump had privately discussed the idea of buying Greenland, an autonomous territory of Denmark. When asked about it publicly, he confirmed his interest, saying, "Essentially, it’s a large real estate deal." Denmark rejected the idea, with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen calling the proposal "absurd." In response, Trump canceled a planned visit to Denmark, stating that he found the Prime Minister's response inappropriate. At no point did Trump threaten to annex Greenland by force; his discussions centered around a potential purchase, similar to past U.S. land acquisitions like the Louisiana Purchase or Alaska from Russia.
The UN Charter was drafted in 1945 by people who had learned the lessons that the aggression, isolationism and tariff barriers of the 20’s and 30’s had led the world into a conflagration. Article One makes it clear: threats of annexation are illegal. So are unilateral tariffs in breach of a trade agreement.
