A professional pessimist.
I like to think out loud my unsolicited opinions on Books, Music, Movies and TV shows. I'm also studying law, for some reason.
I fail to understand the Twitter algorithm.
So here's a Dostoevsky quote for today: People speak sometimes about the bestial cruelty of man, but that is terribly unjust and offensive to beasts, no animal could ever be so cruel as a man, so artfully, so artistically cruel.
What in the world is Jindal teaching its students?
This poor girl from the 1st year thinks all the international cases are dealt with by the Supreme Court and all the national/territorial cases are dealt with by the High Courts.
Who allowed first years to intern at a firm?
This girl from Jindal is telling me that 1st years don't have access to any of the legal databases. The associates have been giving her bare act provisions to read since day 1. Way to go!
During my first internship back in Jan, I had been pulling 12-hour shifts at the office. One fine day, in my naivety, I asked one of the advocates, if a stipend was feasible. To which they casually replied, "How much do you think we get paid?"
Being a 1st-gen lawyer is difficult.

Don't lose a sense of yourself.
I swear I cannot answer a 'tell me about yourself' question without laying down my professional qualifications and goals.
Is there a prescribed format for the submission of a compilation of judgements to the Punjab and Haryana High Court?
Can't find anything on their website.
Hopelessly scheduling another round of emails to send to IPR law firms, only to receive replies stating that I don't meet the requisite elibility criteria (they will only consider 4th and 5th years).
I find it rather intriguing how criminal lawyers while trying to reduce the sentence of a rapist and/or a murderer, sleep peacefully at night, knowing well enough that their client is guilty. I guess that is where a line is drawn between personal beliefs and professional duty.
There is always more than one perspective to a story.
I asked my grandfather about what he remembered of the emergency period. To my astonishment, he replied, that it was glorious.
Apparently, it brought a rare and precious commodity to Kashmir - law and order.
Does anybody know good advocates specialising in IPR in Delhi who take 2nd years as interns? I have received many rejections already from firms and advocates claiming that they don't take 2nd years. Thank you!
Absolutely loathe it when depressing books conclude on a positive note.
Tolstoy mainitained a sombre tone for 758 pages but the final 2 pages had a different story to tell.
Honestly, Tenet is a classic example of a director taking himself too seriously. It almost felt like Nolan wanted to show off, through Tenet, his inordinate directorial ambitions rather than him being an adept screenwriter.

@sidsaysstuff
You son of a bitch. I knew this was too insane to be true! Cannot believe that I got gaslighted by you again.
P.S.: kindly teach me how to gaslight people too. I'm really shitty at it and this is a necessary skill, as I've come to understand.
While working on the same during my internship today, I tried to focus less on the person and more on the research proposition. It's marvellous how one can trick their mind into doing anything.
