Mostly I come here to post hyperbolic statements about names I just started looking at to trigger people smarter than me into doing my work.

@Cap1talCap1tal False equivalence and I hate the dems for being so inept. But they wouldn’t be suggesting executive can override judicial, they wouldn’t float default on sovereign debt so cronies can front run, they wouldn’t have Musk purging his regulators. Objectively worse.

@MetacriticCap @saylor If by “the US” you mean his cronies and family members then yeah he’s already doing that.

@Investor_NICK_ Irony squared sharing this chart as a critique of education spending while not understanding correlation/caustion.

@__paleologo There are none. Funding that leads to medical breakthroughs, draws the top scientific talent to the states and has a hugely positive ROI for economic growth. Only a fool would cut this spend, unfortunately fools are currently in power.

@levandovsky That’s where you have to look at historical ranges. 60% might be 10th percentile IV for some and could be 90th percentile for others.

@levandovsky Depends on the stock. Naturally higher beta has higher IV so need to look historical range. For $SPY ~low teens, and cab usually use low VIX as a proxy but sometimes there’s additional skew especially surrounding known events.

Another reason cutting NIH funding is extremely stupid. They’re going to lose much more than the $4B they save. How many management teams would cut spending with this ROI?

@stevehouf E.g. deportations and tariffs will result in nominal price increases not economic expansion or increased productivity.

@stevehouf One of my longer held conspiracy-beliefs is the only way to normalize debt/GDP is run the economy hot and inflate it away, but yes if it’s real GDP growth and not just inflation then we’d be growing out of it.

@cap_zay Ah, I’m a value investor my stocks never go parabolic lol. But yes occasionally I sell covered calls, usually if I want to sell but have a couple months before it’s a long term gain.

@cap_zay Better for my blood pressure to avoid selling naked calls but to each his own.

@WaterworldCapi1 For some people yes but that’s also a different question than whether it should be legal. Lots of unhealthy things in this world that don’t warrant a criminal record.

Probably works from here just on a little margin expansion but the whole “Beauty Reimagined” spiel reads like someone asked ChatGPT to write up a turnaround plan.
