TL Asleep? Here is a review of @fireboydml Adedamola's album: Let's assume the album is a book entitled Fireboy, and the main character is Damola. The promotion blurp would be; —A beautifully rendered piece that captures the sweetness of Damola's heart, the clarity of his mind, and the warmth of his connections. It’s a poetic drapery of love and relationships, woven with care and sincerity for the things he holds dear. He has Lagbaja, Seun Kuti, and Jon Batiste on the guest list, forming the base of features making the story. Caveat: The 40mins 57 sec, 14-track record is a love story. Don't read it if you're not open to falling in love with Damola.

Album Review: Crayon’s ‘Trenches To Triumph’ Album Is A Mummy I Made It Moment For Mavin’s Star " @crayonthis deserves a full house stand up call for applauds, enthusiastic show of approval and appreciation For coming this far" — Crayon's 'Trenches To Triumph' album is a remarkable journey that resonates with the struggles and successes, showcasing the transition from adversity to achievement, the grass to grace storyfication. This album captures the essence of Crayon's story, his battles, and his eventual rise to fame, all tied together by a strong thematic thread. Although, Mavin artist album storyline is cliche’ the inferences share a deeper meaning to what life is like in the trenches is like. — Crayon delivers the first insight to his story with a Gospel thematic referenced song 'Calvary', which sets the tone for the entire journey. It paints a picture perfect scenario of navigating through life's challenges, akin to walking on stormy waters. The reference to the power of a mother's prayers adds a poignant touch, emphasizing the importance of family support in his journey to success. — The Charles Chibueze Chukwu’s story, a 22 year old fair, short who hones the 'cray-way' tagline mentioning gets clearer on ‘Trench Kid’ as he teams with Oxlade, their journey of struggle into a feel good vibe. — Amidst the tales of struggle, 'Ngozi' with label mate Ayra Starr brings a breath of fresh air with its focus on love and affirmations. The album takes a consistent approach by incorporating similar themes into other tracks like 'Belle Full', 'Super Woman', and 'You Vs You'. These songs maintain a balance between sonic appeal and thematic consistency, creating a cohesive listening experience. — He displays versatility by transitioning into 'Ijo (Laba Laba)', produced by Sarz. This track adds an Amapiano element to the album, showcasing his ability to adapt to different styles while maintaining his lyrical integrity. 'Modupe' echoes thanksgiving and ends on a groovy note, while 'L'eko' sheds light on the complexities of urban life of Lagos. — In 'Wetin Go Be', Crayon wears the elderly red cap with music consciousness as he cracks the advisory code, reeling out tips to the young goons. He goes in deep with details as he pecks words like - “follow who know road, as i dey waka, Make i no come stumble, say my matter, lowo olorun, Odinaka, show me who your friend be, And i go tell you who you are, Dem fit buy you bar, but no fit give you bar. He pecks his advice's emphasis on humility, prayer, grace, hard work, staying strong, avoiding envy, and no trust”. — ‘Everyday is a Good Day’ is the utmost message on the last track - ‘Good Day’. A feel good serupy tune, springle with crispy desires and moist sybaritic expressions, featuring what he is into, now that he made it out of the trenches. A good way to end his triumph story in his first attempt of a complete body of work. — Crayon deserves a full house stand up call for applause, enthusiastic show of approval and appreciation For coming this far. The album has inspiring story backing it, a great display and delivery with alluring vocals and capturing beats all through.
