Little addition: It's interesting that they used plants that are not related to Buddhism but to Christianity. The reason is cuz he died on December 24th, the birthday of Jesus. And they use 2 plants that are associated with resurrection+everlasting life (cross-shaped flower+ivy)

One thing I noticed in chapter 236 is the term 武将 (military commander). In English it gets translated as samurai (武). It's important to show the difference because not every samurai was a military commander. This means that Satoru gets compared with someone of high rank. 1/3

Not sure if someone pointed it out but I think that Utahime has Iori as her surname and Hazenoki has Iori as his given name is not a coincidence. Many pointed out that Hazenoki looks like Satoru in ch. 239 where he "sacrifices" his left eye and RCT is mentioned.

The second pattern we have here is on his fan (Uchiwa 団扇). The pattern which is used here is called "Tatewaku" (立涌) and symbolizes rising steam. It's said to be an auspicious symbol with the meaning "to arise above (circumstances)".

Gojo’s delusion ends with him reverting back to “boku”(僕) after using “ore” at the beginning. and calling Yaga “gakuchou”(学長),which is president, instead of sensei. both reflecting the adult Gojo’s speaking habits. someone said it’s a sign that Gojo’s story is not finished.

It's not a true wax but rather a fat. Fat and oil share similar compounds and Japanese wax also gets used in cosmetics for its emollient properties (same as oils). I mentioned that because the ch. 168.5 is about cosmetics and oil in particular.

I like how they associate the colour gray with Haibara because it has something to do with his name. Haibara (灰原) has the Kanji for "ashes" in it (灰) while gray also uses this Kanji (灰色). They reinforce each other, adding gloominess contrary to his uplifting personality.
