People forget or don't realize that Blade has been hurt and traumatized since his childhood when he lost his family and planet to the Borisin. He deserves all the love. And I know he would smile and feel safe, comforted and loved if he ever saw our tweets, art, etc.
Blade honestly would love everyone cuz you know he's the most caring person ever if you see him the way i do.

@EmeraldHikari As someone with severe depression, I see myself in Blade. Idk if it's the same for others, but for me, it's not really death I want, it's peace. Peace of mind. To break free of the pain. I think it would be great to see him be able to find peace for the rest of his life until π.

he is more than just his mara btw. while its true that mara is a major theme of his character, he DOES have lore and a personality his own. dont let JUST his mara mold your understanding of his character. his mara is there, sure, but so is he.

I think most of this has to do with the fact that it was briefly mentioned, and Jingliu isn't really seen much in game. You have to read a lot of the lore to understand this. Like yes, the scene where Blade explains it is enough, but somehow people just. disregard it or. idk.
Call me that friend who's too woke but I gen think Jingliu's torture and brainwashing of Yingxing isn't discussed enough outside of the Blade community. JL was a victim of his and DF's actions and what she did to him was disgusting and inhumane are statements that can co-exist.

How is it dehumanizing to disabled people if said disabled people relate to Blade?? We aren't portraying anything because the proof is all there. Blade can't forge weapons anymore like he used to because of his wounded hand is a great example.
@sallyastral you want people to go out of their way to portray blade as some caricature of a modern western disabled person instead of an actual character. going out of your way to portray blade as disabled in your art is not only moronic but dehumanizing to disabled people.

@zenossr I feel that there might be a reason for that bc hoyo is known for their dedication between Blade and Dan Heng and them as their own character. After all, he's affected by the mara differently.

Tbh, it's crazy to me how people can mischaracterize Blade so much to the point where they think he'd be a possessive, obsessive yandere. like what?? Huh??! HOW??! Like, I get being mara struck makes Blade go a bit. how would I phrase this. unstable? β.

@zenossr There was a moment where we could see Blade being tormented by the mara in the trailer too, but I also feel it isn't enough to show how bad it really is for him on a deeper level.
