@Retlouping Nice and clinically relevant 👍🏻 As a similar thinking for plantar fasciitis would be: (1) Location of pain on plantar heel (2) 1 or 2 of: OOB pain /get up and go pain (3) medial calc tuberosisty sensitivity (4) mostly age > 40 US imaging >4-4.5mm fusion & lower echo

@sportsmapnet @Seth0Neill Low dose shockwave induces M1 to M2 polarisation. If receptive for pain through nociceptor c fibers (Hausdorff 2008) you would expect that to be positively influential for nociceptive / macrophage crosstalk and on positive tissue status with M1 to M2.

@black_cameron 96% seems very high… Thanks for your work, must read 🙏🏻 On as side but relevant note: Maybe more decorum on SoMe among some of our profession would be a good place to start 😌

@PhysioMeScience The control group got no education? The PNE group had an EXTRA 75mins x 4 = 300minutes of extra attention and education No reflection of real world in the control group basically invalidates the findings until there is an actual therapist Patinet alliance and education?

@slavov_n Immunosenescence? Especially when aging is not mitigated by positive lifestyle factors? Acute inflammation can be protective but chronic inflammation influences - Immunosenescence. Inflammation resolution is a important factor in health

@iangattphysio @Back_in_Action Pain and sensorimotor processing is considered neurological in basis Macrophages are immune cells Microglia are the neurological immune macrophages Immune influences (M1 & M2) are a first principles approach in MSK tissue distress and probably deserve recognition

@tomgoom A nice study recently supported seated ham curl as a good option, probably because of lengthening position compared to prone hip extended

@camtudor 👏🏻 I refer to this paper weekly One paragraph comes to mind “The nature and location of pain reported by the first patient subjected to cervical disk puncture was so unusual that a careful statistical study of these cases was made in the hope that more could be learned…”

@PhysioMeScience Nociceptor macrophage crosstalk is a key element in pain… Neuroimmunology pain science stuff that is primarily brian centric has ignored this phenomenon If the nociceptor gets mentions it usually stops there. Immunology has other paths to pain not just the nervous system
