Long story short: last week Unbound submitted our first ad campaign to the
@MTA
. And we were promptly rejected. Our ads were deemed “sexually offensive material” and therefore will not see the light of day (or the glaring fluorescent light of the B train)
"Our goal is to provide comfort and contribute to the humanization of homeless people. It’s sad that the idea of humanizing people is even a thing, but here we are."
DID YA KNOW? Unbound is hiring! Open positions: Director of Marketing and Adwords Consultant. For those interested, plz send a brief note on why you're great for the position along w resume to nisreen

Ads for Polly Rodriguez’s sexual wellness brand were deemed to be too lewd for the NYC subway — now she’s speaking out against its sexist double standard
"What’s strange is that Facebook and Instagram are still allowing bullshit vaginal healthcare to thrive on their platforms while it making it nearly impossible for healthcare brands focused on women’s pleasure to run ads..."
@BitchMedia
@RachelCharleneL
Pushing back is why we started Unbound in the first place. If you don’t see what you want out there, create it, advocate for it relentlessly, and build a community that feels passionate about it too. Thank you everyone for showing up today and helping us pushback.

Hey- yep, we agree. It's been up on the site for a while and it does feel dated/not so clever. We'll be talking with our team and having it changed shortly. Thanks for your input here.
