During the Welcome Lunch, Mrs Geingos emphasized that “a robust political will is crucial for pandemic preparedness. We must confront the complex interplay of geopolitical dynamics and social determinants that exacerbate vulnerabilities in our pandemic responses.”
The Council meeting brings together thought leaders from academia, government, and civil society to engage in meaningful dialogue on the deep-seated inequalities driving pandemics such as AIDS, mpox, and COVID-19.
