✅ Course on Biopsies - How to Obtain Biopsies in the Setting of Infectious Esophageal Ulcers HSV = herpes simplex virus CMV = cytomegalovirus Highest diagnostic yield is obtained by obtaining 6 biopsies, three form the ulcer edge (for HSV) and three from the base (for CMV).
