its the same sentiment that vegans have, depending on what reason they chose to not eat animals. not only bc of my religion i just chose not to eat pork byproducts bc of its nature, me not eating pork isnt disrepectful to it 😭

maturing is realizing red flags in book men are not it, why read books about toxic men ( you get this enough irl) when you could be reading about men who love their partners unconditionally and are grade a level simps
when i’m reading a book and the most insane plot twist that no one could see happening, happens and now i have to rethink the book’s entire plot and the characters relationships with each other
★ ★ ★ ★ .5
this was the most plot twists i’ve ever read in a single book and something tells me there’s more. i loved the focus on plot, and how strong of jude is in both her triumphs and weak moments. her determination to do what is morally right is so powerful.
★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆
it’s not compelling, i hated how adrian treats her in this book without a second thought to how it makes her feel. the memory issue feels like a clutch used to deter readers from the plot holes

what does islam have to do with me wanting to keep my face private on the internet 😭 ur such a fucking weirdo honestly pls get off the internet im sure u have much better things to do in life than talk about if girls aren’t good muslims or not

the writing style is very diff than the last books, i loved the diff in some parts and disliked the lack of plot in other parts. it was very trope based rather than having the romance be an additional aspect, but the characters charisma saved it from it being bad.
i physically can’t chose a book to read bc it has to be a good book to start of the year that way i won’t dump myself into a reading slump in the first week of the year
@selestereads
yeah only if you wanna read a bunch of pages of taryn explaining why she betrayed jude, and how even tho she got all the same chances she was treated unfairly
★ ★ ★ ★ ☆
the amount of courage jude has to fight against enemies she had trusted all her life is so impressive, there’s so much betrayals in every way possible but she continues on, like that’s my girl yall. i’m excited to see what cardan means by exiling her.
don’t get me wrong i love variety in books but why is the emotionless boogey man tickling lyla to make her laugh…. i thought emotions meant nothing to him 😭

i love the ACTUAL morally gray area between the characters and their personalities. it’s done well, and it’s natural. some parts were a little too slow, and others felt rushed. but considering i read it in 6 hours it was great
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
it went full circle, and showed just how deep love goes. cried like 3 times at how much they trust each other. and what is it with runyx and fucked up fathers like damn leave my family alone. i’m so happy for dante and amara, they might be one of my new favs 😞🫶🏽
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
words can not explain how much i loved this, it was VERY cohesive, and showed that it takes a lot to be vulnerable in the name of love, a lot of strength to battle in defense of it. cardan and jude show time and time again that they will chose each other, always.
taking french soley for the purpose of being able to curse a rude bitch back whenever i go to france like oui oui zis foot iz going up your stinky asseholé bitch
enemies to friends to lovers is literally the best not just bc of the sweet pining moments but bc of the in between moments where the characters can feel their emotions changing and realizing that the other person is what they’ve been looking for the entire time
not even halfway through the emperor and amara has shown more courage and strength than most of the mc’s i’ve read. like she has so much love and compassion in her heart i love her so bad yall
@Jay031109
i mean you technically could, but the reason they meet is because of the first books couple!! and mile high is also a really good book too ☝🏽
