As IUETO, we continue our civil diplomacy visits to Indonesia with University Muhammadiyah Bandung. Later, we held consultations with the President and Vice President of the West Java Regional Parliament regarding the Uyghur Diaspora and regional activities. We extend our gratitude to Mr. Tiar Bahtiyar, Iwan Suryawan, Ono Surono, and Memo Hermawan for their warm welcome. We hope that these meetings will strengthen and carry the Uyghur Diaspora into the future.

On January 31st, IUETO, in collaboration with its local partner organization and with the endorsement of IDC, successfully delivered emergency humanitarian aid to 48 Uyghur detainees held at the Thailand Immigration Detention Center. The kits containing pants, almonds, Uyghur Roast Soup, Uyghur bread (Naan), bananas, and tangerines have been delivered to the detained Uyghurs. This assistance was provided on behalf of the entire Uyghur diaspora worldwide, reaffirming our collective commitment to supporting Uyghurs in crisis.

Today, representatives of the International Union of East Turkistan Organizations (IUETO) met with the Ambassador of Thailand in Ankara. The primary purpose of the meeting was to brief the Thai Embassy on the situation of Uyghurs detained in Thailand for the past 12 years, as well as the recent reports regarding their potential deportation to China, and to convey the concerns of our people. The meeting proved to be highly productive. The Ambassador kindly shared an official letter from the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs with us. The letter included the following statement: 'The Thai government makes decisions based on its independent will, its constitution, its commitment to international law, agreements with other countries, and its dedication to human rights principles. The Thai government has not made any decision to deport Uyghurs to China. We are taking serious steps to ensure the safety, physical, and mental well-being of Uyghurs in Thailand, and to assist them in other ways. The Uyghur people can rest assured. We have not made any decision to deport them to a country where they would face the risk of death or disappearance. We are addressing this matter with the utmost care and attention.'
