@USBPChief @ArtAcevedo Thank you for the clarification. What about ICE? The concern is related to the fact that the administration rescinded the previous memo that stated that such locations would not see immigration raids.

I saw Here There Are Blueberries at @mccarter theater yesterday, and I can't stop thinking about it. It brings to life so many uncomfortable truths that we are still grappling with today. It lifts the mask behind the executioner. If you have an opportunity 2 see it, please do so

Andrea, I totally agree and wish more people would recognize this. This reminds of the George W. Bush era declaration of a war on terror to justify extraordinary executive powers, including warrantless surveillance, sidestepping congressional laws banning torture, detaining US citizens without charges as enemy combatants, flouting both domestic laws such as FISA and international laws like the Geneva Conventions and more, all under the theory that as commander in chief, the president can essentially do anything. This feels like the beginning of that but even potentially worse.

Very important account of the attacks on the judiciary that we are seeing in Israel, similar to the attacks in the US, stacking the courts with lawyers guided by politics rather than with lawyers guided by the rule of law
[1] Israeli courts are becoming even more hostile to Palestinians. See @oritstrock bragging about her success in stacking the court bench with almost 100 judges. Advancing annexation was always a major goal driving the judicial overhaul. š§µ
