We've spent a lot of time on building the Lens Chain stack, it took a bit of effort but here is the summary: GHO stablecoin as a gas token, zk proofs submitted to Ethereum, Avail DA to store the L2 state, horizontal scaling with ZKsync. We are going very low on fees. Decentralized storage is built-in so no need to worry about pinning or loosing content. Also enables onchain access control over content on decentralized storage. First time ever users/DAOs can manage data together offchain with onchain access control rules. Will be secured by Ethereum down the line. Also smart contract-based social primitives that can simply be plugged into any app: Feeds, Graphs, Groups, Usernames and all have rules engine to extend the smart contract-based rules. More contracts will be shipped. ICOs, governance and new token primitives and other fun things including DeFi. All apps will have support for gasless and signless with email or phone out of the box. We will start rolling all this out in the upcoming weeks.

EVM Equivalence is coming. @gluk64 shared a lot of info in the 2025 roadmap ( but to add some more insight: The first step will be the EVM Interpreter, a program that can run on the EraVM and interpret EVM bytecode - this means an EraVM system can also offer an "equivalent mode" (in which create2 works as in the EVM, and tools like Foundry work out of the box). This work is complete and audited - a governance proposal to enable this for ZK chains is imminent. The major step is coming with the upgrade to the Boojum 2.0 proof system. This is a RISC-V based proof system, and the ZK Stack will be extended to support native EVM execution environments (so no ZK chains could use the EVM rather than EraVM). This is already very mature; we have the system running end to end through verifying the proofs, and with complex codebases deployed (e.g. Aave). At ETHDenver we'll have more being shared, including benchmarks vs competitor systems (👀). Public testnet soon. Audits soon. Then the upgrade!

Some notes on what this means: Advanced recovery mechanisms that eliminate seed phrases, the ability to pay fees with various ERC-20 tokens using paymasters, support for session keys, batch transaction execution, and upgradable account contracts via proxy.
