I mean today was just insane. I saw at the least 5 different tornadoes. May have been close to 7. But with the rain wrapped ones it was hard to tell. Prayers to all that were affected. Prayers to my community in minden who were slabbed by a violent tornado 🙏🙏 #iawx #wxtwitter

Some people say today warranted a MDT risk but I agree with keeping the 10#. Quite a bit of failure modes for today but a high ceiling nonetheless.

The latest Meteo-France, Euro, & CFS seasonal forecasts support the idea of an eastward-shifted tornado season this year, reinforcing the long-term trend in favorable tornado environments we’ve seen over the last several decades. Fwiw, I also came across a lot of seasons like this in the 1940s, unfortunately tornado data isn’t too reliable back then
