Spent the weekend in Ambala Sadar/Cantt, and its aesthetic charm is impressive. 1. Grid-patterned Chandigarh style roads. 2. An old house by Nicholson road housing a 100yo shop. 3. Antique building, turned into a shopping complex. 4. A coffee shop I'd 100% recommend!

@sanjeevsinghx Don't know of many societies where addressing "socioeconomic factors" before discipline instilled civic sense in people. Civic discipline developed in European monarchies, dictatorial China and Russia, Imperial Japan, and authoritarian SE Asia.

Most of us are blessed with struggles of our own. Anyone who believes there's a plan to it and we're given challenges based on our caliber, is delusional. Way out is to seek difficulties, celebrate wins privately and be unbothered by judgments when things don't go your way.

All their one-upmanship turns submissive once someone in the West starts giving back. Jaishankar was hawkish against Biden admin, changed his tone as Trump came in.

People of Faizabad cursed the state government backchodi when our mobility got infringed, city space got inundated and lifestyle got, well...invaded. Superimposition of propaganda bearing unbearable consequences will pay off, real soon!

Had it not been for subtropical immunity, a lot of problems would've disappeared for us just in one religious congregation.

Breaking out of 'third-world trap' would require a infra revamp of public spaces and transport. Civic sense is instilled in dehaat when they see CISF guards at metro checks.

@SukritBanerjee True, but AAP was essentially an urban middle-class phenomena that failed to take off the groud in UP despite multiple attempts. If tried, can come up as a party dedicated to A-centers.

@mxtaverse In hindsight, was never a common man and was pathetically attention-seeking. I grew a special disdain against him as he's the one I had some hopes for a change. Phew!

@sanjeevsanyal Better than whatever we've made of our heritage. Also way way better than literally any edifice GoI has built so far. Any non-ugly structure in India has been built by pvt sector only.

When the Janeshwar Mishra Park was inaugurated in Lucknow, the locals dismissed it's as 'served no utility'. A better park than the infamous "Hathi Park" (Ambedkar Park); sadly few people in India understand the value of open public spaces.
