Did about 8 or 9 breeches in a row this evening. Magnificent creatures. There was a cow and calf we watched for about 20 minutes. Nature is pretty cool.

This little fur ball has been my companion for 15 years. We had many chats trips treats and ice cream together. She was a big part of our family. Friday she left us. To say it’s hard. Is a understatement. The hardest part of owning a dog….Is saying goodby.

700 litres of home heating fuel last winter was 575.00 with tax 661.00. The same 700 now is 1225.00 with tax 1408.00 That’s 747.00 more then a year ago. 747.00 more !! After tax dollars. For lots its heat or eat ? Not to mention increased food cost. This is staggering to most.

And just like that 17 plus years of my life packs up and heads to Australia to do combined grade 12/1st year university pathways program at Melbourne U. She is the 1st from NL to ever do this program. So happy for her But sad to watch her go Time really does fly ...🙁

This is my stage Its about 120 years old Lots of character on the inside. The clapboard was getting really bad and there was rot in places and in some of the sills. Had a contractor look at it. Said tear it down build another. I like old stuff. So I’m redoing and siding myself

My daughter graduates from her Pathways Program at Melbourne university tonight Been gone a year halfway around the world. My heart is heavy, but there with her. I can get live feed She then flies home on Monday and hopefully picks me up Tuesday I’m very excited

Coming on shift tonight, my thoughts are certainly focused on the 84 men who lost their lives on the Ocean Ranger 40 years ago, less than a half a mile away from where i work. May they all rest in peace, may we all never forget.

This cast iron tub was taken from a house in Buchans alot of years ago, was put in when town was built. It was headed to the dump. I have moved it to 3 different houses with me. Reno’s about a year ago on our downstairs and last night I hooked it up again. Little bit of history

One man’s trash … this used to be a light pole at a Gulf station, then Golden Eagle and Esso Its 50-52 years old. Now it will become a flag pole and garden light at Change Islands after I refurbish it.

The stage project is finished on the outside and walkways all tie together. Now that the weather is getting less agreeable I’ll move inside, reorganize but not change the character and charm of the 120 year old building. I hope I’ve extended her lifespan
