Good news on Hillingdon Hospital funding – but a 3-4 year delay is unacceptable. Planning, funding & works were in place under the previous govt to deliver by 2030. Political posturing has cost Hillingdon residents dearly. They deserve action, not more delays.

A cold day, but the mood in Uxbridge with @hillingdon_tory was very warm. People are angry at Labour’s broken promises & the absence of their MP. Thankfully, they value their Conservative-led Hillingdon Council with a track record of putting residents first for over 2 decades.

It is astonishing that Sadiq Khan has been rewarded for complete failure - rising crime, devastating transport policies, missed housing targets & decimation of London's nighttime economy. Londoners, especially those in the outer suburbs, will be shocked and angry at this award.

Meanwhile, here in Hillingdon, at last week’s council meeting, we heard Labour Cllrs dismiss legitimate warnings from charities & businesses about its devastating impact. Their callous comments show how out of touch & reckless Labour’s priorities are, both nationally and locally.
This week Labour will commit another act in their betrayal of business by voting through their NICs Jobs Tax. Breathtaking tax rises that will destroy businesses, jobs and the dreams of so many who have worked so hard. My thoughts in @thetimes:.
