Prime Minister Rowley : The State of Emergency and curfew will end at the end of November and at this time, there is no intention to seek an extension on it.
5 year old Jennessa Alleyne who was reported missing on Friday from Carapal Erin was rescued early this morning near Los Iros beach. Rescuers say the little girl was washed away by a river behind her grandmother's home and are calling it a miracle that she survived.
Cinemas, Theaters, Bars, Restaurants, Casinos, Gyms will be open ONLY to fully vaccinated persons over the age of 12.
These services will operate at 50% capacity and the consumption of alcohol is not allowed on the premises. Employees of these zones must be fully vaccinated.
Minister of Health : The Prime Minister has authorized that from Monday 31st January, beaches in Trinidad and Tobago will be open from 5am to 6pm, this will extend to reef tours and swamp tours with a 50% capacity.

Minister of Health : For a period of 3 weeks from midnight tonight the following restrictions are being enforced.
1. No in house dining in restaurants/cinemas/casinos/bars
2. Public Gatherings reduced from 10 people to 5
3. All Beaches in T&T closed to the public
Prime Minister Rowley said in four weeks, if projections remain on course and there is an increase in vaccinations during the month of September, certain aspects of business can become "safe zones" where vaccinated persons can participate at gyms, cinemas, casinos, bars etc.
The entire retail sector will reopen next Monday, August 16th 2021.
Minister Deyalsingh urges stakeholders in this sector (employees, cleaners, sales clerks, delivery workers etc) to get vaccinated.
Minister Young : The Ministries of Digital Transformation and Health are currently working together to provide the population with digital vaccination cards. Possible rollout in 4-6 weeks.

PM Rowley announces the following:
- Come mid-January, Government workplaces will require Vaccinated Workers. Measures will be put in place to identify this 'vaccinated' status in workers. Exceptions will be made for those with medical reasons.
