Anyone using nested css rules in their Shopify theme? The minification thing seems to be ignoring some rules, something's definitely off and I can't tell what it is.

@soulchildpls Yeap, no issues. If there’s something to suggest, I think a few styling options could really make the difference. Nothing complicated, you know, something like the text color for the discount for example, stuff like that.

Very seriously thinking of opening a small Shopify store with my retro fan art posters. I design these mostly to keep up with Illustrator but I also give them to frens.

This is my first marketplace where I can invest both my time as a theme/app partner and some of my earnings as a tiny investor, which is very cool. An extended version of bootstrapping if you will. Bootstrapping by proxy maybe? We need a name for it 😁
Shopify’s Q4 Earnings are out and let’s just say Q4 was a hell of a quarter on top of one hell of a year. Here’s a snapshot of @Shopify in 2024: - @Shopify is now over 12% of ecommerce in the US - Powered nearly $300 billion in GMV - that’s nearly 2.5x more than 2020 - Hit nearly $9 billion in revenue - that’s 3x more than 2020 - Paid out $1 billion to partners for apps benefiting our merchants - Crossed $1 Trillion in cumulative GMV - And over 875 million people bought something from a @Shopify merchant’s online store I’ve done 39 earnings calls at this point in my 15 years here at @Shopify. What you’re seeing is the best version of Shopify to date...and we’re still just getting started. This is the best team, product, business model, and operational discipline since I joined. It’s incredibly exciting - and I can’t wait for what we are going to do in 2025.

Oooof, I have a love-hate relationship with theme updates. I like them because they reflect careful merchant feedback and prioritization. I hate them because they usually mean adding more features instead of removing some.

Hm. I’ve just wrapped up research for a super niche Shopify theme/app/service combo. But to make it happen, something has to go. February will be muy interesante. Hm. 😁

My grandmother used to say that guests should never leave empty-handed. So for a guest who traveled from SKG to ATH for the 1st Shopify meetup and likes retro stuff, I’m giving him some new old stock 5 1/4” disks. Perfect for saving his event photos! 😁

@qweikeris The presentations were in Greek but the networking (which is the best part) can also be in English, most people in tech around here are very comfortable with that, no issues.
