@NCTony Let Melo be free and try to make the playoffs somewhere, send Miles packing. More can be done

@williamzabka12 That’s what I think they are doing. That’s why ar that point just blow it up and restart. Wasting everyone’s time. Even their own honestly.

@sakatierney45 I think they should be able to but will we ever see them healthy. The fact that it’s so obtainable is what makes the entire situation frustrating

@critical11267 @pghfourteen That was my original point is that maybe if they didn’t give up so much for him then this trade would’ve went through. I just don’t see what could’ve been discovered in that physical that wasn’t already public info as he’s been injured for two years.

Like I said, I’m not saying LA tried to screw CHA. That’s just the nature of what happened. Franchise has been trash for years so can I believe that they made a dumb move like omitting info? Sure! I just don’t think that’s what happened. If so, as I mentioned there are many other issues that the Hornets have if that’s the case. Mark has looked fine when he plays and it doesn’t seem like the injury has hindered him that much. I mean for all we know Lakers could just have higher injury standards for the Hornets. I truly believe the lakers changed their mind. Which they have every right to do according to the rules. If we ever get answer to this situation and it’s in the lakers favor then I’ll come to this thread and say I was wrong

I don’t believe it’s a scheme. I believe they didn’t like what they sent over for Mark and decided it was best to rescind the trade and move forward. I don’t think their intention was to screw the Hornets but it does. However it’s not the job of the most recognized team in the NBA to worry about how they screwed over the Hornets

Personally, I don’t see how a team can believe those are one offs when he basically hasn’t played in two years. Them trading for him isn’t the issue but what they gave up is and I felt like they agreed with that. I think they saw exactly what has been reported for years with Mark which is why I’m confused on how it can be thought it’s a one off.

Mark Williams would’ve gave them a better chance but if you’re trying to build a team to really fit Luka’s timeline wouldn’t you rather use that 2031 pick on someone better/player more games? That’s all I’m saying. Yeah this year it will sting but in the long term the Lakers will be glad they rescinded the trade because they still have those assets and can use it on a guy that actually plays. I just don’t see the point of trading for a guy who doesn’t play with all that capital and then failing his physical. You already knew there were injuries concerns. That’s why I feel like it’s buyers remorse because there couldn’t have been anything on that report that wasn’t already public information.

I don’t think they were willing to give that much up for him which is why this situation even happened. I don’t blame them because I was very surprised they gave up that much. There is really no reason to give up that much for a guy who played 80ish games in three years. I don’t think there was anything new in that physical because Mark’s injuries have been very public. If the Hornets are forcing him out there so they could trade him then that’s a whole complete set of new issues to address.

I mean that’s basically my point. But they knew he’s been hurt. But this was more so Laker fans I saw say that “he wasn’t good anyway”, “we don’t want him”… but that wasn’t the case when the trade was initially made. Getting someone for free is always the better options. Look at how many teams were rumored to want Ben Simmons lol
