Smallholder farmers are key producers of tropical forest risk commodities. In our @elementascience paper, we ask: what challenges do zero deforestation commitments pose to Indonesian oil palm farmers & how can palm oil mills help overcome those barriers?

A great thread on a new study in @PNASNews led by @matthewhayek. We explored how restoring areas currently under pastured beef production could address climate change by removing CO2 from the atmosphere:
New study: we found that small reductions in pasture-based beef production in some areas, especially in temperate, humid regions like the Eastern US & Europe, could lead to large amounts of CO2 removal by regrowing native forests.
