The seismic event I was referring to. Look at this monstrosity of 6th gen aircraft. 3 engines & significantly outsize even J20S.It will enter service by 2032 probably. Same time F35 block 4 goes into service. Chinese cadence is too fast. Every 14 yrs, moves to new gen.
Tech war will be over in a few yrs. EV/Renewables/drone dominance, HW/M60, HGV+FOB & everything you see this month in Zhuhai like J-35/HQ-19/UCAVs are just appetizers. There will be a major event soon that will surprise many ppl & that will be followed by 3 to 5 similar.

Actually, Chinese industrial advantage is massive bc it uses high level of automation, low energy cost, complete local supply China, world class infrastructure & enormous supply of engineers. It’s far easier to demonize China than actually understanding why Chinese industries are.
Sadly this is mistaken. I wish it were not, but we are already in a beggar-thy-neighbour world. China’s industrial strategy isnt about comparative advantage as much as it is about huge subsidies systemic econ imbalances and mercantilism. for us,Nat Sec risks, and deindust’sn.

China’s moves to block takeover of tech sector by American big tech was the smartest thing any country has done. In past yr, China Inc has invested significant money in Brazil. Looks like it has enabled Brazil to keep sovereignty over these MNC that think they run the world.
Brazil’s illegal shut down of @X and account freeze at Starlink put Brazil on a rapid path to becoming an uninvestable market. China committed similar acts leading to capital flight and a collapse in valuations. The same will happen to Brazil unless they quickly retreat from.

Tip of the iceberg. QCOM/AVGO/QRVO has long dominated 5G modem & RF. Even APPL can't do it internally. In M60, HW has fully domestic built-in 5G modem + RF that uploads/downloads as fast a X70. combined that w/ satcom chipset. Chinese OEMs sell 700m phones/yr?.$30/phone -> $21B.

Instead of sending cargo to Manzanillo or Long Beach b4 heading to Asia. Now, large cargo ships go directly to China, shaving 10-12 days off transit time. Chancay is also most convenient hub for Brazilian farmers to transport their produce to China. Port is modern & efficient.
It took almost five years to build, but South America’s largest and most modern port is about to be inaugurated in Peru. The cutting-edge port was built by Chinese state-owned company Cosco Shipping. CGTN’s Dan Collyns explains why this project is so important not only for

Kirin 9000S teardown so surprising. Includes CPU, GPU, 5G modem, ISP, DSP. NPU (w/ Ascend lite/tiny cores + TPU). All this squeezed into 110mm2 die w/o stacking. abt same as Kirin 9000 (which had 140m transistors/mm2). A15 SoC had all of this, but it was manufactured on N5P
@tphuang @SinsisaKiva_ @ApisithS Mentioned above. Competitive on performance, power, cost, ability to scale, etc. for data center/AI vs leading edge nodes from the top foundries. Specially TSMC & Intel (who seem on track to 18A) How will SMIC match 4/3/2/18A? BTW - 8 gen 1 yields at SSG 👎🏼, QC went back to TSMC.

Didn't expect myself to get dragged into a long argument, so I will just talk about it here. few yrs back, Chinese companies would fire employees that use domestic product instead of proven foreign ones. Companies don't like to work w/ unproven partner. HW didn't give SMIC time.
@TheStalwart @tracyalloway @dylan522p @_fabknowledge_ eg: since they've enacted these policies, Chinese companies across different industries have embarked on de-risking process in which foreign supply chain for critical components will be eliminated over next few yrs. That seems like a real negative outcome for America. Did the.

If you think China' AI industry is just DeepSeek, you are badly mistaken. DS is the result of a robust domestic AI industry, not an aberration. If other countries want to have their own DS, Kling or Kimi, they should look @ what China has done in building a full AI ecosystem.
this is incredible. Kling AI just dropped Elements, it lets you create ads for any product, with any actors, in any environment. you can even make actors say any slogan and. you just need 4 images. step by step tutorial:

By DeepSeek open sourcing their model weights + publicize research on RL.Everyone has access to the secret sauce. When Eric Schmidt discussed DS, he was fearful of DS making this much power openly accessible.SV Big Tech want to "achieve ASI", so they can control & run the world.
We are living in a timeline where a non-US company is keeping the original mission of OpenAI alive - truly open, frontier research that empowers all. It makes no sense. The most entertaining outcome is the most likely. DeepSeek-R1 not only open-sources a barrage of models but

Why is China restricting Ga?. Ga-based materials GaA, GaN & Ga2O3 have wide bandgap & other props ideal for RF-related apps like military radar. America being dominant in GaA was able to quickly produce & deploy AESA radars in the 2000s -> huge advantage over mechanical radars
This is a big deal btw.GaN is currently used in radar, power chargers, 5G network & EVs.Ga2O3 is way more powerful than GaN Considered by Biden Admin to be sensitive due to possible applications in future gen of military radar & important commercial fields.

Should be obvious that SMIC had plenty of AMAT/Lam equipment from pre-2022 sanctions that they are still using. Why would they stop? They paid money for it. Is American govt going to refund them?.Even when domestic tools are sufficient for 7nm, they will still use American tools.

Let’s be real here. Chinese companies are crushing foreign competition in China. If Starbucks or GM can’t make money in China, they will stop investing in China. China doesn’t have balance of payment or inflation issues.Domestic companies do all the investment China needs. Why.

Tip to EU:.China didn't subsidize its energy transition industry to win vs EU mfg. It did so for the far more important goals of energy security & independence. Go ahead & tariff Chinese as much as you want, but that won't stop China from replacing dirty energy w/ clean energy.
China tilting the field against EU manufacturers is not restricted to PVs or EVs. Hoekstra is worried that when it comes to electrolysers ( used to produce hydrogen) China is 'oversupplying them at ever-lower cost'. Even though the EU (DE!) is very innovative in this area. 3/
