Shortly after 9:00 am Thursday, Emerald Isle experienced a water spout / tornado. There is property damage in the vicinity of Islander and Reed Drives. Boardwalk RV Park suffered the most severe damage. No injuries are reported at this time.

Throwback Thursday: On this date in 2021, the Emerald Isle Sea Turtle Patrol erected a safety barrier and kept watch over this seal pup until it returned to the ocean. The seal appeared to be healthy, and was resting along our beach strand.
