@ReasonTheology Mass deportation of rapist and criminals is moral. If we were on mass deporting legitimate citizens for things they can’t help that’d be one thing, but the sake of justice allows for us to enforce the laws and it’s consequences against these knowing criminals

@SWENGDAD Thank you for not following the hate herd. Even if I were proven wrong about Nala in the future I’d have a clean conscience knowing that I had a disposition of charity in my heart and actively rooting for her.

Nala was definitely very sinful and selfish in her decision making, but I don’t believe she was malicious. There’s no excusing what she did, but she knowing admits that and is very contrite. She’s converted and is trying to be better, and I truly believe her. As Christians we still owe her the charity of the benefit of the doubt. Pearl is full of pure hatred. She’s trying to destroy and degrade someone who’s trying to rebuild a better life for herself. Revenge porn is illegal. Just because she consented to having it up at one point DOES NOT negate that. Pearl is nasty and vindictive. Nala’s sins had a far greater negative impact on others, but Pearl’s actions comes from a most evil and twisted disposition of the heart.
This is actually worse than anything nala's ever done and is also a perfect example of why Jesus despised the Pharisees and constantly told them they were in danger of hell

@creation247 Drinking in moderation isn’t a sin, but gluttony and drunkenness to the point that it inhibits your ability to make sound moral judgements/ puts you at risk of sinning or is substantially deteriorating your health is sinful.

Sad to see so many who actively want to see her fail and just flat out refuse to acknowledge it’s at least possible that she did indeed change. I can understand having a certain level of skepticism, but why would you be so adamant that she’s lying?
A year ago, the most prominent porn performer in the world spoke to @michaeljknowles and announced she was quitting and giving her life to Christ. Many people didn’t believe her. Many don’t believe her today. A year later, she’s back. Tune in tomorrow at 9am CT.

So you just abandoned in the teachings from the 2,000 years of Church teachings from the most dedicated experts that understand all of the linguistic and historical contexts of the Bible for your own personal interpretation after just picking up the Bible for yourself and you think that makes you better? Different sections of the Bible from the Old testament, New Testament, Pslams, and Gospel are read at every single Mass so priests are unable to cherry pick. My priest gifted me a Bible before my baptism. Being taught about all of these connections to the Church through the Bible and history is what convinced me.
"Just read the text." Bingo! That is where catholics fail. They take the word of their priest (ιερευς not a NT office) instead of picking up their Bibles and reading it for themselves and testing to see whether the priest spoke rightly or not. Picking up and reading the Bible was my journey away from rome.
