@TogoresMTG I think affinity is much easier to handle versus a turn two combo deck in breach. We have excellent sideboard cards to combo affinity. Meltdown and stony silence for example. But these sorcery speed options are too slow to do much against breach.

@MetroidFREAK21 Yeah I don’t like the controls either. I recently downloaded Primehack to play Metroid Prime 2 Echoes and it was fantastic.

@MetroidFREAK21 You could even argue that the GameCube controller is the best controller to use for these games from a speed running aspect since you had a dedicated Dpad for the visors and a dedicated C-stick for the beams.

@RealPokemoki Astrolabe just breaks the mana balance we have in legacy. It would allow control/midrange decks to play 5 colors with very little downside. And would make wasteland and blood moon effects basically worthless against those decks as well.

@JimDavisMTG Absolutely I thought the same thing. Would a 3/1 for W really be too good? Doesn’t seem like it to me.

@SaffronOlive I think a 3/1 for W vanilla legend wouldn’t be too strong. But I’m sure they tested it and must have not liked it. I agree that a one drop for white feels like the obvious design here.

@jakeAls Sorry it’s been over a year since I’ve played the deck, so I’m not really familiar with how the archetype has evolved over the last year.

@grantkirkhope Yeah I hate to say it, but I think you are right Grant. As much as I would love to see a new Banjo game, I think any studio would be crazy to take on that project since it would get a ton of criticism from fans. And there’s no guarantee it would sell well either.

@MagnaDrake_ @BunnyJoBurton I agree that they would have been a better fit for Foundations. But they still would be pretty underwhelming duals for standard in my opinion. We just have so many better options at this point.

@BunnyJoBurton I’ve thought about this too. But I honestly think they aren’t going to finish these cycles because they are so bad in 2025 for standard. They would be almost as unplayable as the scry lands are right now for standard. They might throw them into a commander product though.
