It is not a surprise that Trump, a convicted criminal, who has totally undermined the justice system in the USA now seeks to sanction the international Criminal Court. Obviously they would oppose his plans to breach international law in Gaza. #r4today #bbcbreakfast

Exactly this.
I understand the need for diplomacy, especially given the current administration in the US. But diplomacy cannot be an excuse for silence in the face of ethnic cleansing—because that’s exactly what Trump’s proposals amount to. This is a clear moral and legal red line. Either you stand for international law and basic human decency, or you don’t. It’s that simple. And if you can’t take a stand on this, then where will you ever draw the line?

So the first policy statement by an immigrant who was welcomed to the U.K. and thrived is that we should punish future immigrants and show forcibly that they are not welcome. You couldn’t make it up. #r4today
