Včera som absolvoval súkromnú návštevu Českej republiky a bolo mi cťou absolvovať priateľské rozhovory s bývalým prezidentom a veľkým zastáncom dobrých vzťahov medzi Slovenskom a Českom, pánom bývalým prezidentom Zemanom, bývalým premiérom Babišom a nakoniec som poskytol rozhovor pre Xtv.

I just concluded a successful working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where I had the opportunity to establish a dialogue on mutual cooperation. I would like to express my gratitude to H.E. Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Investment of KSA and H.E. Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Natural Resources of KSA, for their invaluable time and our meetings that created a prerequisite for bilateral cooperation between our countries. KSA makes huge investments in the sectors of the future, without which even the transformation of the industry is not possible. Concrete opportunities for Slovakia and its entrepreneurs will result from this engagement.

During today's meeting with @matteosalvinimi, I thanked the Italian Deputy PM for his unyielding and consistent approach when protecting European borders from illegal migrants, which he implemented while he was Minister of the Interior. We also agreed on a coordinated approach as to the reassessment of commitments under the Green Deal and other environmental regulations, which destroy Europe's competitiveness and fail to ensure the well-being of EU citizens.

Today I continue my visit to China with a program in Shanghai. I will be opening the Sino-Slovak business forum, which represents a great opportunity for the development of economic relations between the two countries. On Tuesday, I will represent the Prime Minister at a business summit with the Prime Ministers of Malaysia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Serbia and Uzbekistan.

Today we started the official program of the Government of the Slovak Republic visit to China with joint negotiations between the governments of our two countries. Specific areas with room for development of mutually beneficial relations were identified. The highlight of today's program (and the entire visit) was the meeting with President Xi Jinping and the Speaker of the parliament Zhao Leji. Today, on behalf of the Ministry of the Environment, I also signed an agreement on implementation of modern technologies in the field of industrial transformation. We also discussed possible cooperation on infrastructure projects with our Chinese counterparts. At the end of the day, we opened a Slovak-Chinese business forum, which was attended by more than 150 businessmen. Contacts were established and will certainly bring benefits to both countries. Following the visit of the capital, my program will continue in Shanghai.

Mario Draghi's report on the competitiveness of the European Union stated what can be seen everywhere: Europe is declining and losing competitiveness. It is the result of an ideological policy that prioritized bureaucracy and the nonsensical green deal over common sense. If Brussels officials do not realize that their regulations cause Europe to fall behind and drastically reduce the standard of living of EU citizens, they will realize it when social unrest and jobless people knock on the doors of their offices.

Reports of six Israeli hostages found dead in Gaza have been horrifying. These events are very difficult to process or understand. Killing innocent people will only contribute to the escalation of an already tense situation. Whoever perpetrates these atrocities does not want peace!

Today, on behalf of the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, I had the opportunity to receive the Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Mr. Qu Dongyu, during his visit to Slovakia. We are a country with sufficient water resources, high soil quality, interested in making significant progress in the development of modern agriculture with high added value, while protecting our biodiversity. For this purpose, we agreed to prepare a memorandum of understanding between Slovakia and the FAO.

It's official. The Paris Olympics are the first in history to legalize the beating of women by men and even declared it a sports discipline. Disgraceful Olympics from day one.

The International Olympic Committee is deleting the disgraceful opening ceremony from the Internet. The insults to Christianity and the presented decadence have reached such a level that they have offended the whole normal world, which understands the difference between culture and garbage.

Assassination attempt on the former US president is a disgusting act and thank God that Donald Trump's life did not end. Every politician deserves to have his political fate decided by the votes in the elections and not by assassins on the streets. The political fight should be a battle of opinions and not bullets.

I participated in the informal Council of Ministers of the Environment in Hungary. We discussed many important issues regarding the protection of water quality in Europe, but also about the process of strengthening the circular economy.

The fact that Hungarian PM Orban visited Ukraine and then Russia is exactly what I would expect from a government leader holding the EU presidency and bordering with a country at war. I don’t understand the hysteria.

Today, Slovakia has a new President, Mr. Peter Pellegrini. He got a strong mandate from the voters. Under his leadership, Slovakia will be a reliable member of both the EU and NATO. After the inauguration of our new President, I was delighted to spend some time having a friendly discussion with former Czech President Miloš Zeman and former Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš.

In Brussels, I attended intensive negotiations with representatives of the European Commission. We discussed many development and innovative projects that we plan to implement as part of the process of decarbonization of industry in Slovakia. We also discussed ways to meet milestones within the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
