Great thread on @occrp and @straits_times reports on Cambodian govt putting a cloak of secrecy over its pay-for-citizenship scheme. The move is a boon for the billion-dollar crime gangs who exploit it.
Officials from @MOICambodia are "outraged" by very straightforward and rather under-stated reporting by @straits_times @OCCRP where I and @Jason_Tower79 respectively were quoted. A short 🧵on the "scandalous" report which "contravenes international law" and why it matters.
