I really like how R1/o1 thinking requires someone to think philosophically about what's happening during pre-training as well as post-training. only a few folks have that global a worldview - it's something a top-down lab with separate pre and post teams would struggle with. such an cool insight and tour-de-force for grass roots innovation.
