After successfully completing her sea trials, Titanic left Belfast at 8pm bound for Southampton.
During this passage of about 577 nautical miles (664 land miles), Titanic’s deck officers log her maximum speed at 23¼ knots (equivalent to 26.73mph).

in 1912: The Cunard liner Carpathia arrived in New York with the surviving passengers and crew of Titanic. Docking at Pier 54 in the North River at 9:30pm.
Onboard were 743 of her own passengers and a reported ‘705’ passengers and crew belonging to Titanic.

, 17th February 1912, Titanic was warped out of the Thompson Graving Dock after receiving her propellers and having her hull painted. Titanic was moored at the Deep Water Jetty in the Victoria Channel where work continued on her final stages of fitting out!

Liner RMS Olympic departed from her place of birth for the very last time.
She returned to Harland & Wolff in December 1923 for a major refit and overhaul lasting eight weeks.

The Titanic Experience includes this 7.6m scale model of the ship that is suspended from the ceiling and rotates to music and light projection, telling the story of RMS Titanic and fully rotates in sync with state-of-the-art projections for a truly immersive experience.
Today marks the 106th anniversary when the RMS Carpathia (RMS Titanic Hero Ship) met its tragic end on July 17, 1918, after being struck by a torpedo from a German U-Boat during World War I. This brave ship will always be remembered for her heroic rescue of Titanic survivors.
We were thrilled to welcome back rock legend Sir Rod Stewart who was visiting Titanic Belfast for the third time yesterday 🤩
The star was in Belfast as part of his UK tour, performing to sold-out crowds at the SSE Arena.

Titanic left Southampton’s White Star Dock shortly after midday on her maiden voyage to New York via Cherbourg and Queenstown. Her commander was Captain Edward J. Smith. Onboard were an estimated 1,846 persons.

The White Star liner leaves the Thompson Graving Dock with propellers and a fresh hull coat. Guided by harbour tugs, Titanic is moored at the Deep Water Jetty in the Victoria Channel for the final fitting-out stages.

It was lovely to meet Mary-Kate McHugh, aged 93 from Cavan, whose mother Mary McGovern was a survivor on Titanic.
Mary, who boarded Titanic at Cobh, survived the sinking on lifeboat 13 and was picked up by rescue ship Carpathia.
