Flat screen TVs may be lighter than tube TV's but that means they can tip even more easily! A 10 pound TV is like dropping a bowling ball on your child's head. Secure your TVs to the wall or the furniture it sits on and anchor that furniture too! #AnchorIt

Put anything kids might be tempted to reach for tempt them to climb in a low drawer, shelf, or bin. Items you don't want them to get should be out of sight, not just higher than they can reach. Be sure to anchor all furniture with drawers, doors, and shelves! #AnchorIt

Here's another furniture safety tip: Store heavier items in lower drawers and shelves. Remove items that may entice a child to climb from the top of dressers, TVs/stands, and shelves. BUT also remember, all furniture can tip, not just top heavy furniture! #AnchorIt

Tip-over truth: Deadly tip-overs can happen even when you are watching your kids. You can be in the same room and be powerless to prevent a tip-over. Don't think it can't happen to you. #FurnitureSafetyWeek is a great time to #AnchorIt!
