BREAKING: VeVe proudly calls their digital collectibles NFTs 👊 ➡️ Interviewer asks about the “dirty word” NFTs ➡️ VeVe CEO doesn’t back down, responds: “Our digital collectibles are NFTs, absolutely!” ➡️ Declaration comes on the heels of Trump administration bringing clarity to the space, calling NFTs digital assets within the collectibles category ➡️ VeVe fudders in tears rn VeVe’s CEO just delivered a thunderous slap across the face of fudders who do not consider their digital collectibles NFTs. VeVe’s CEO Ben Rose just did an interview with Comic Watch, where he didn’t shy away from calling VeVe collectibles NFTs. When asked by the interviewer if VeVe’s collectibles are part of the “dirty word” NFTs, he promptly answered “Our digital collectibles are NFTs, absolutely!”. This comes on the heels of the incoming US administration classifying NFTs as digital assets within the “collectibles” category. In an effort to bring clarity to the space, President Trump’s new cryptocurrency czar, David Sacks, said that NFTs and Meme coins represent cultural and commemorative value, similar to baseball cards or stamps. He specifically categorized the Official $TRUMP meme coin as a collectible, emphasizing its symbolic rather than speculative purpose. As many of you know, VeVe fudders have been unsuccessfully attempting for years to say that VeVe collectibles are not NFT’s because they lack self-custody. But the definition of an NFT does not require it to have self-custody in order to be called that. VeVe’s CEO didn’t go along with the fudders’ definition of an NFT and went on a YouTube channel and podcast that caters to physical comic book collectors not shying away from calling their collectibles NFTs. This move will probably trigger VeVe haters who simply do not accept this definition of NFTs. You should watch the full interview because I think Ben Rose did a fantastic job articulating the inherent advantages of collecting digital comics on VeVe over physicals.
