Attention spans are fried, and deep learning is taking a hit. College students can’t read books in a couple of weeks anymore. People skim bite-sized content and feel like experts (Dunning-Kruger effect), but real understanding comes from books. I’ve been building an app to make deep reading easier and more structured—for me, students, and lifelong learners—without falling into the short-form trap. (Bookmaster is just a placeholder, still deciding on the name.
