Hoping Wolves close it out tonight
Regardless of when it happens, have to give
@Grady
and
@JimPeteHoops
a major thank you for their role in our collective journey this season. It wouldn’t be the season we’ve all enjoyed without their charisma, knowledge & talent
Best in the biz
No matter what you think about the trade, it happened 2 years ago. To put this in a mid-season power rankings piece, especially when the team you're criticizing is on a hot streak, just makes no sense.
Between the TNT crew constantly ripping the way basketball is played today, and ESPN constantly clamoring for players to change teams, it's hard to find NBA programming these days that just appreciates basketball as it is.
Basketball is fun. Stop being lame.
My favorite part about when the Wolves play on TNT (once every 15 years) is when Shaq and Chuck deep dive into why the best shooting center ever should focus on playing in the post.
Jimmy Butler showed up to his first Miami Heat practice in October at 3:30 a.m.
It started at 10 a.m.

Everyone last year: Anthony Edwards doesn’t like basketball. That makes me nervous and I don’t want my team to draft him.
Anthony Edwards literally every time he scores:
Chet just ran through Ayton, Vucevic, Embiid, Gobert, KAT, and AD.
Averaged close to 20 and 8, with 3 STOCKS.
I’m done listening to your “Chet’s too skinny” jokes.
For more perspective, Saunders wouldn’t even be the oldest player on the Timberwolves roster. That title belongs to Taj Gibson and Lol Deng, who are 33 and 97 years old, respectively.

: Philadelphia's trade conversations on Ben Simmons gathering momentum in recent days. More teams engaged, more two and three-way deal structure talks ongoing as 76ers try to land a Top 25 player for Simmons.
Through two games, Anthony Edwards is making plays that most rookies just can't do. His variety of moves and ways he can finish is incredibly diverse for a rookie.
A thread:
This series is so fun
I know gm 3 was awful, horrible and triggered a lot of emotions, but hopefully everyone is allowing themselves to have fun, too.
The TIMBERWOLVES doubled their reg season win total! The TIMBERWOLVES are in a competitive playoff series!
Fun things are fun!
Losing this part sucks. The relationship seemed real. You can get more vets but that doesn’t guarantee the same bond. Ant will become what he becomes regardless but Ricky seemed to make a real impact.
Anthony Edwards has been great since being inserted into the starting 5.
Wiseman has had some fantastic flashes.
LaMelo & Haliburton look like ROY favorites so far.
This rookie class was labeled as "poor", but it's looking pretty damn good rn.
Let's celebrate it.
Was trading for Andrew Wiggins part of the Warriors' plan to pull off a potential Giannis Antetokounmpo trade?
Some around the NBA reportedly believe so
When this photo was taken, I had hoped that Ant would find his way into the starting 5, and that McDaniels would eventually find his rhythm in the G League & show NBA flashes late.
Three months later: Ant is fresh off a 42-pt game, and McDaniels is joining him in the starting 5.
"His jersey's untucked!" -CP3
Jordan Bell was called for a delay of game for checking in with an untucked jersey...
Wolves ended up losing the game in OT
Manu, one of the best players in Spurs history, has been retired for less than a year & now has his number (deservedly) retired
Kevin Garnett, BEST player in Wolves history, has been retired since 2016 & we have yet to hear anything about a ceremony of any kind
That's not right

that they “were looking for a fresh start” and so they decided not to exercise the option on his contract. “It was my dream job.”
If the Thunder don't want to keep winning these games and continue to tank, they should really, REALLY consider trading Shai to Minnesota for Malik Beasley. I'm just trying to look out for my Thunder fan friends.
The Wolves are 6-2 since trading Jimmy Butler.
The defense is better. The cornerstone looks happier. The acquired pieces are playing well. It looks like there’s chemistry.
Is it sustainable? We’ll see, but it’s been a fun start.
