You are correct about him changing the numbers. I too am sick to see how he gets normalized as this savvy negotiator. Without a doubt he's deeply unhinged, and I do expect his security detail is well aware of his clashing challenges of cognitive decline and a narcissistic personality disorder. Worse still, his grandiosity and pseudo-Christianity have further led him to believe he's anointed by God to become a conquering world dictator. He told a group of Christian voters that he was chosen by a “supernatural hand” and implied that his life was “saved” by divine intervention. It has not dawned on him that in supposed "End Times," a man will come who will be the devil in the flesh. The Bible calls him the Beast, the son of perdition, the man of lawlessness, who sets himself above the law, the Antichrist. The Beast will have global control. He will terrify some but entice others. The whole world will follow the Beast, either by intimidation or bribe. “And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation” (Revelation 13:7b). Metaphorically, The Beast stands in direct opposition to the ideals of democracy, civilization, and international cooperation.

No, the USA is not subsidizing Canada by billions as Trump claims. The US has a #tradedeficit as it spends more on Canadian products than Canada spends on US products. 1. A #tradedeficit occurs when a country imports more goods and services than it exports, resulting in a negative balance of trade. In other words, it represents the amount by which the value of imports exceeds the value of exports over a certain period. The United States has the largest trade deficit in the world. In 2023, the trade deficit of this nation was $773.4 billion. 2. Canada's merchandise #tradesurplus with the United States amounted to $102.3 billion for the year 2024, a narrowing compared with the surplus of $108.3 billion observed in 2023. 3. A #subsidy is a sum of money granted by the government or a public body to assist an industry or business so that the price of a commodity or service may remain low or competitive. Trump Is Wrong. The US Does Not Subsidize Canada. In fact, it's the other way around. 4. #Tariffs are taxes imposed by one country on goods imported from another country. Tariffs are trade barriers that raise prices, reduce available quantities of goods and services for US businesses and consumers, and create an economic burden on foreign exporters. 5. Trump sees #tariffs — taxes one country places on another's foreign goods — as a way to protect American manufacturing and strengthen the wider economy. He has repeatedly said foreign countries pay tariffs when, in fact, they are paid by American importers. Those companies then typically pass those costs onto their American customers in the form of higher prices — which is why economists have warned it could ultimately be the public that pays the price in a tariff war. In essence, Trump is using tariffs to tax Americans and insulting their intelligence by thinking they are so dull witted they won't comprehend that reality. Tariffs cannot solve the illicit fentanyl or illegal immigration. They can be resolved only by cooperative efforts by three countries ie. the USA, Canada and China where the chemicals to make fentanyl are coming from. Trump is using fentanyl or illegal immigration to provide him with grounds for labelling them as emergencies so he can use of executive orders without having Congress to deal with. Note that US Citizens Were 80 Percent of Crossers with Fentanyl at Ports of Entry from 2019 to 2024 Here is the data on #fentanyl caught at US borders.
