An illegal immigrant was arrested in North Mississippi this week for allegedly raping a 10-year-old boy twice. Unfortunately he’s not the only illegal immigrant committing crime in Mississippi. My office estimates that MS state taxpayers spend around $1.7 million each year just to incarcerate illegal immigrants. Every state is a border state now. When I see numbers like that, I always think about how many cops that $1.7M could have put on the street or the fact that we have teachers like my mom (retired) still going out of pocket for their own classroom supplies. As State Auditor, I can highlight these facts for you, but I do not have the power to fix it. Elect President Trump to end this nightmare at our border.
