Honestly bizarre to me that so many people have seen this machine now, but I put a ton of work into saving it from e-cycling by replacing about a dozen faulty capacitors and sourcing parts it was missing (HDD, Power supply, etc) so Iโm super happy with all the love itโs gotten!

The CRT market is just insane to me. Youโd be hard pressed to find any tech of the same era that is both somehow more valuable than when it was new, and yet gets thrown away and recycled by the truck-load every day. Such a bizarre phenomenon.

Also scored this lovely โ90 IBM PS/1 monitor that didnโt require any repair, just a thorough cleaning. What an oddly shaped little fella, gotta get a PS/1 type 2121 to go with it now!
Picked up some monitors today, this IBM 14R-MS was horizontally collapsed and very grimey. Repaired about 15 cracked solder joints on the analog board and it kicked right on, cleaned up amazing as well. Getting better at CRT repair, only took about 45 mins to make good as new!

So funny to me how people tried to stretch their obsolete machines lifespans into the 9x era. Enjoy the Windows 95 experience on a 1991 Compudyne with its original 25mhz 486sx and 350mb HDD. This is what you had to live with if you didnโt spend thousands to upgrade!
