just prototyped a pattern that I haven't seen in other general purpose ai agents: agent encountered a new task -> tries to solve it interactively with a REPL -> when complete, generalize and save it as a skill/function in db -> next time, just use function call

Basically, I think @RoamResearch is heading to the right direction, it's sad that it takes a form of application. If we can leverage graph databases but build it as a service on your devices, people can build awesome views (like outliner, graphs,...) with native interlinkability.

Tonight's latent space thoughts: I've done a lot of experiments "mixing" embeddings by interpolating b/w them in latent space, but it seems we get similar results when just copying some % of random dimensions from one embedding into the another embedding More in thread.

Tools that serve our cognitive processes (and not vice versa). Graph-based data structure, tinkerability, constructive & editable ontology/schemas, visually appealing & revealing, not monolithic, to name a few. It's hard to build tools that help our monkey brains with complexity.
