I sorta agree & disagree on this one. A beginner should learn to differentiate things that are one-off & ones that are not.
It's good to memorize (happens by itself anyway) few patterns & tricks that are very common & useful.
But yeah, problem-solving is the key skill.

In fact, over time I have realised in India we don’t provide proper cleaning equipment and chemical agents to our cleaning staff.
We just give them a broom, a wiper, 2 agents and few rags to clean it “all”. And this applies to even “posh” households.
