@landofthe80s Miami Vice was my favorite show when I babysat for our neighbors’ toddlers BITD. ABC’s “TGIF” was my go-to before MV. The kiddos went to bed at 7, so I got to watch a lot of TV—my folks were too cheap for cable. I babysat for free so I could watch LiveAid in its entirety.

@Andie00471 Hubs was a Sailor for 24 yrs—he swore like a Sailor. Our toddler son would say “sh!t” if he dropped something, and “f*ck” if he hurt himself. I had to work very hard to rid him of his “potty mouth” before he went to Kindergarten. Kids are like Myna birds, repeating parents.

Not the best picture, but we had a neat visitor here in northeastern Maryland today—a juvenile Barred Owl! We don’t see owls a lot, but we do hear them at night. This guy stayed for about 30 min, until he took the chicken wing bones that Hubs threw to him, then he flew off.
